Diaz Changes Style but Comes up Short Against Marquez

Pirog knocks out Jacobs, Guerrero takes care of business, and Linares handles Juarez By Blackbull
IB-August 1, 2010 - In what amounted to be a decent pay-per-view, the Juan Manuel Marquez vs Juan Diaz, Daniel Jacobs vs Dmity Pirog, Robert Guerrero Vs Joel Casamayor and Jorge Linares Vs Rocky Juarez, contests were good and maybe not spectacular but very telling to say the least. Telling in that boxing fans were curious to see if Diaz can change his approach and be successful, if Jabobs was indeed the next American dream, can Casamayor cheat father time and a chance for many to see Linares live. And in watching the contests, many questions were answered.
In the main event, and as expected, Diaz fought a much different fight than in the initial contest against Marquez, a more calm but strategic approach.
The strategy may have been successful for Diaz but unfortunately along with this new approach, Diaz had much, too much respect for Marquez...(more)
